I joined the Women's Group at DSC 9 months ago with the hope of losing some weight that I had been carrying around since I had my last child 9 years ago. 

I had not worked out consistently for years and finally got the nerve to join after watching the advertisements on Facebook for years. 

Within a few months of joining I started to notice differences in the way my clothes were fitting and I felt better overall but I still felt like I was missing a piece of the puzzle. 

Prior to the nutrition program I was a horrible eater. 

I would almost never eat breakfast and would most days go until 2 or 3 pm just drinking coffee and maybe a few handfuls of goldfish or pretzels if I walked through the kitchen. 

By the time dinner came I was so hungry and tired that I would eat way more than I should and would often not take the time to make a balanced meal. Who wants more veggies when you can fill up on mashed potatoes or rice? :)

I watched people in the Women's Group be very successful on the nutrition program at DSC and saw numerous success stories on the Facebook page.

It got me thinking that could be the part of the puzzle I was missing. 

I knew I was a horrible eater and that no matter how many days I worked out or added to what I was already doing, I needed to learn how to eat better and make better food choices. 

By 2 or 3 in the afternoon I would hit a major slump and be so tired that I would hit the Keurig machine again to get through the rest of the night. 

After 7 months of working out I had only dropped a half a pound and I was starting to feel discouraged. Even more than the weight I wanted to feel healthier and more energized than I had been feeling.

The program taught me how important it is to not skip meals, to fuel your body with the right types of food, how important hydrating your body is, all things I struggled with. 

Within the first week of eating three meals a day I was already feeling better. I noticed more energy and felt better than I had in a long time. 

I also struggled with making the right food choices to balance my meals. 

The feedback from the coaches and support on the Facebook page really helped with this. 

There was always suggestions on the food logs of things that I could do better or comments about things that I did right. This helped so much.

The nutrition program at DSC was the second best thing I have ever done for myself. 

The first being walking in the doors at DSC and joining the Women's Group 9 months ago.

I cant say enough about how life changing DSC has been for me.

I don't think that I have ever been so nervous as I was walking in the door 9 months ago to my first Women's Group class. 

EVERYONE instantly made me feel comfortable. 

The coaches and all the women in the group were so supportive and helpful. The workout was like nothing I had ever done before and I loved it! I couldn't wait to get back later in the week. 

I had never been challenged or pushed like I was here. 

Renee and Matt are always helping with form and modifications if needed and always pushing you to do a little bit more than last time.

I already loved everything about DSC and then I decided to sign up for the nutrition program. 

DSC's Nutrition Program changed my life!

The support from all the coaches and other members in the group was just what I needed to be successful in changing my bad, life long habits that were not working for me now that I was working out and trying my best to get healthier. 

I loved the accountability of having someone look at what I was eating and offer suggestions of ways that I could improve my diet and habits. 

The first week was tough because I was not used to eating 3 meals a day. 

I was eating so much food during the day compared to before. After that first week I really started to notice a difference in how I felt. I wasn’t as tired and I felt better during my workouts.

After the 8 week Nutrition Program I lost 15 pounds!

I feel stronger and have so much more energy. 

For the first time in a long time I feel healthy.

My body fat is down about 3.5% and I also went up an entire category from average to good for body fat mass. 

I packed up three garbage bags of clothes that no longer fit me and sent them off to donation because I won’t ever need those bigger sizes again.

I think the whole program made a huge impact on me. 

I think what made the biggest impact on me though is that this is a lifestyle change that will stick forever. 

I have tried many fad diets in the past and was never successful because they deprived you of certain things, no carbs or dairy…. The nutrition program that is taught at DSC is something that you can do forever.

I am always telling people it was the best money I have ever spent on myself.

8 weeks is not a lot of time to invest in yourself and once you see how much better you feel you will be so happy you did this for yourself.
